Can we get personal?

Can we get personal?

It’s the end of the holidays. You’ve enjoyed a few weeks off and unfortunately, the sun, sea and sand of the last month is soon to be a distant memory as you move forward into September and prepare for the latest UCAS cohort to begin their applications.

Sorry, to bring you back down to earth with a UCAS bump. But if you put your Pina Colada  down for a moment, there is a way that Kloodle can help.

Every year, I try to refine the process and subsequently create an ever-growing list of dos and don’ts for newbie applicants. The form filling […]

To quote Bob Dylan, ‘The Times They Are A-Changin’. We live in a world of instant gratification and whether we like it or not, it’s the only world that teenagers know. They don’t know any different.

Child peer pressure

Today’s teenagers are a product of an environment created by a relentless education system, hell-bent on measuring results and assessing impact. How can we measure […]

How I use Kloodle to Prepare Students for Uni Interviews

How I use Kloodle to Prepare Students for Uni Interviews

It is the season of the dreaded university interview. I have been inundated over the past few weeks with requests for mock interviews and help with general interview etiquette: ‘what if they ask me something I don’t know about?’ ….. ‘what if I don’t understand the question?’ ….. ‘do I have to shake their hand?’ ….. ‘what do I wear?’ And that’s not to mention the feedback from those students who have endured the misery of their first formal interview: ‘it was a group interview and I couldn’t get a word in edgeways’ ….. ‘it was a group interview and […]
